Essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, critical thinking, efficient time management, and computer proficiency, particularly with Google Suite applications. Candidates must also demonstrate a sense of urgency, self-motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines while working remotely with a reliable internet connection.
The Clinical (RN) QA Specialist will review and assess the quality and accuracy of physician reports for long-term disability claims, ensuring compliance with client and jurisdictional standards. Responsibilities include verifying that claims support physician determinations, interpreting policy guidelines and healthcare terminology, and communicating with physician reviewers to clarify information and meet deadlines. The specialist will also provide customer service by delivering complete and error-free quality assurance on cases, manage complex cases requiring additional review, and serve as an additional QA level for cases with quality issues. Participation in special projects as assigned is also expected.
