Requirements

  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare sector
  • Mandatory prior sales/brand marketing demonstrated experience
  • Awareness and exposure to chronic care/specialty portfolio

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales teams for end-to-end Specialty portfolio, including focus brands in Oncology and Neurology, along with Immunology sales through digital efforts
  • Work with Brand Managers across Oncology and Neurology to lead the launch strategy in line with Accelerate, Reach and Scale principles of Lilly
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of sales and marketing while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • Lead and hold team members accountable for a culture of integrity; ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards
  • Make decisions within guidelines of resource availability and functional objectives; provide leadership to day-to-day operations
  • Establish trust by modeling Lilly values and performance behaviors; engage and motivate workforce through frequent interaction, compelling vision, and clear objectives
  • Own sales P&L for the country
  • Engage stakeholders in setting and delivering business objectives; conduct governance meetings and operational reviews
  • Facilitate integration of functional components and establish/implement processes to foster teamwork and decision making
  • Oversee all hiring and training of Specialty team members; leverage winning culture to attract and retain top talent; ensure viable succession plan; coach employees on performance, management, and leadership
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and assess performance of business unit staff, providing coaching and feedback
  • Collaborate and partner with functions (E&C, CMS, Sales Force Effectiveness, Sales Capability, HR, and Finance) for seamless execution and business outcomes
  • Coach immediate internal team members towards achieving team and individual business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (HCPs, customers, distributors, suppliers, regulators, industry associations)
  • Encourage a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the business unit and across the organization
