Position Overview

NVIDIA is seeking a candidate to lead and scale a highly available Cloud Compute Service. Our customer base consists of hundreds of dynamic engineers who continually provide us with challenging problems to be solved. The highly qualified leader will knit together an end-to-end Service Management Operation spanning multiple data centers and thousands of servers. This operation is a key foundation upon which our innovative products and services are delivered. You should enjoy working in an energizing environment where speed and flexibility is key to their success. Having depth and breadth knowledge of operating large-scale distributed Cloud Computing environments is a strength you'll need. You should also have leadership experience with deep knowledge and understanding in several of the areas: Service Operations, Project Management, Tool and Automation, and Process Engineering. You will be passionate about providing outstanding customer experience and thrive in a highly matrixed environment. You will embrace change and enjoy solving challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and lead a team responsible for bringing new datacenters and solutions online and implement ongoing operations to provide high levels of availability.
  • Craft SLAs and critical metrics that provide a great foundation for the highest levels of service availability in a critical environment.
  • Build positive relationships at multiple levels within the company, including with Hardware Engineering, Service Design, and Operations teams.
  • Work with peer organizations to identify and solve issues associated with service management, project management, and supply chain operations.
  • Find impactful ways to keep operating costs to a minimum while driving the development and implementation of effective and efficient processes.
  • Identify, supervise, and handle issues.
  • Craft the metrics and dashboard to show the health of the Service.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ overall years handling service management and technology operations, including large-scale 24/7 cloud operations.
  • At least 7 years in senior roles leading multi-functional relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Proven Service Management experience and/or Data Center Operations.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated ability and successful track record handling sophisticated deployments.
  • Experience with building and running high-performance teams including training, mentoring, and building processes that contribute to service availability.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Experience in personnel management, staffing, and scheduling for a global environment.
  • Experienced in project management, vendor management, and agreements.
