Requirements

Candidates must have a degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, visual design, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 8 years of experience designing world-class experiences is required, along with at least 4 years of experience managing multiple designers. Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and demonstrable fluency with Figma and other industry-standard design tools are essential. A solid portfolio of work spanning multiple projects and experience with UX for enterprise software products are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director of Product Design will manage a small team of designers to deliver strong work on tight schedules and work across multiple projects simultaneously. They will identify and prioritize usage scenarios through customer research and competitive analysis, analyze user feedback to develop personas, and create wireframes, storyboards, and screen flows. The role involves designing functional prototypes to validate interaction models and fostering strong partnerships with engineering and product management to drive a shared vision and execution of product plans. Additionally, they will deliver a UX vision along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates that actualize the larger vision over time.
