Position Overview

We are seeking a bold and visionary Director of Quality to lead the development and execution of our quality systems. Dandy's products are primarily custom-designed and manufactured, emphasizing innovation, speed, automation, and precision. Our commitment to quality is fundamental to our DNA, driving us to deliver exceptional dental solutions, from crowns to clear aligners, with the goal of becoming a global player in this $20 billion industry.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone excited about building from the ground up and scaling operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Serve as Dandy’s senior-most quality leader with end-to-end responsibilities for delivering custom manufacturing quality at scale.
• Build and support a complex operational system encompassing supply chain, design, product, manufacturing, and partner/vendor relationships.
• Define the company's quality standards and implement agile systems, tools, and technologies to ensure every custom restoration meets these standards.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to identify business priorities and roll out system improvements and new programs.
• Bring the Quality strategic vision to life to meaningfully drive the business forward and achieve ambitious goals.

Maintain International Quality Certifications

• Support Dandy’s international expansion by maintaining appropriate international standards and certifications, including MDSAP and ISO 13485.
• Iterate and improve the Quality Management System, transforming it from a regulatory requirement into a competitive advantage.
• Build systems and processes for perpetual compliance.

Systems Thinking & Scalability

• Establish, refine, and document quality control standards, inspection methods, and testing protocols.
• Establish and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
• Define and track key quality metrics (e.g., defect rate, returns, rejection rate).
• Partner with Product and Operations to ensure design controls, manufacturing validation, and process capability.

Culture, Coaching & Engagement

• Build and maintain a high-performing team by establishing the right mix of industry experts, quality engineers, generalists, and managers to support future growth.
• Ensure adherence to standards at every stage of the process.

Scope

Functional Scope: Customer inputs, design of the custom product, manufacturing the product to specification, and ensuring the product meets customer expectations.

As the Director of Quality, you will be instrumental in delivering and maintaining MDSAP / ISO 13485 certification, which is central to Dandy’s global aspirations. You will work closely with design operations, manufacturing operations, R&D, customer support, and executive leadership to build scalable processes, support regulatory compliance, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
