Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in security, identity/IAM, or access management, and experience in both startups and large enterprises. They should be deeply curious about identity, trust, and authorization and have built enterprise security products, demonstrating a builder’s mindset and comfort with ambiguity while also knowing how to scale mature products. Exceptional storytelling skills are required, along with familiarity with modern AI tooling and architectures.

Responsibilities

The Director of Product Management – AI will own the AI product strategy, translating market trends into actionable roadmaps and differentiated products. They will bridge startup speed with enterprise-grade thinking, partnering deeply across the organization including Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. This role requires driving outcomes by defining and owning the product from concept to launch with measurable impact, championing discovery through research with CISOs and security teams, and serving as a thought leader externally. They will also be responsible for representing StrongDM at conferences and with analysts, showcasing innovation, and managing a team or acting as an individual contributor as needed.
