Position Overview

Wealthfront is seeking an experienced financial writer and editor to launch and grow a new content vertical within the Consumer Communications Team. The primary goal is to empower young professionals to make informed financial decisions by creating timely, unique content that connects macroeconomic news with personal finance goals. This role will lead the creation of engaging, shareable content across various formats and channels, including written and video content for social media, emails, and the blog. You will also build and manage a team of content creators and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Social Media, Editorial, Investment Research, Product Marketing, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily market and macroeconomic news to generate high-quality, timely content ideas that help young professionals navigate market trends and build financial confidence.
• Build and manage a team of freelancers to produce content across platforms (social media, short and long-form video, email, etc.), focusing on unique, value-driven content for Wealthfront's audience.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Lifecycle, and Social Media teams to distribute content to clients and prospects across all channels.
• Evaluate new content formats and distribution channels, making recommendations for adoption.
• Collaborate with internal teams to measure content impact and develop strategies for improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience writing and editing timely and engaging financial market and macroeconomic stories at a top-tier news outlet.
• Demonstrated experience writing and editing diverse financial content, including newsletters and video scripts.
• Proven track record of building and managing a team of writers/content creators to produce high-quality, engaging content.
• Deep knowledge of investing and personal finance strategies, macroeconomic data, and the impact of financial trends on young professionals.
• Creative storyteller skilled in translating financial news and data into unique, digestible content.
• Experience managing video content production is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
