Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within an engineering organization. Strong experience with developer tooling, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering productivity is required, alongside expertise in managing large, cross-functional engineering teams. Experience with operations and build infrastructure, release testing and validation tools, and development workflow and tooling is also necessary.

Responsibilities

As the Director of Engineering, Sensor Development Tooling, you will define and execute the technical strategy for sensor development tooling, ensuring alignment with broader engineering goals and CrowdStrike’s mission. You will lead and mentor three specialized teams, overseeing technical operations interfaces, build systems, and CI/CD pipeline infrastructure, as well as managing static analysis platforms, automated bug filing systems, and development environment automation. You will partner with sensor engineering teams, release management, and platform teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that enhance developer productivity and code quality, while also establishing and maintaining high standards for code quality and implementing metrics to measure tool effectiveness. Furthermore, you will serve as the primary interface between tooling teams and their internal customers, ensuring exceptional service delivery and proactive communication of roadmaps and improvements, and fostering an environment of innovation and talent development within the teams.
