Requirements

Candidates must possess over 8 years of DevOps experience as an individual contributor, progressing to Senior/Staff level, and over 5 years in management, leading and scaling DevOps and/or SRE teams. A proven track record in high-growth, fast-paced tech environments is essential, along with deep expertise in DevOps and SRE best practices, including uptime ownership. Strong background in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, database management, and system optimization is required, as is extensive knowledge of security practices and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to align technical systems with business strategy, exceptional leadership, mentorship, and communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director of DevSecOps will lead and manage DevOps, Security, and IT teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable systems. They will define, delegate, and track project-level work, ensuring visibility to business stakeholders, and collaborate with stakeholders to define clear requirements, manage budgets, and deliver against timelines. Key duties include driving automation, CI/CD pipeline improvements, infrastructure scalability, and cost optimization, while overseeing database management, system performance, uptime, and disaster recovery strategies. The role involves establishing and tracking KPIs and OKRs, producing engineering insights and reports, providing mentorship, recognition, and accountability to build a motivated team, and communicating effectively across all organizational levels. Additionally, the Director will be hands-on when appropriate, contributing technical expertise in critical situations, and building and managing vendor relationships.
