Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CSSLP are preferred. They must have at least 15 years of progressive experience in security architecture and operations, including more than 5 years in executive or senior leadership roles, ideally within SaaS or technology organizations. Strong expertise in identity and access management (IAM), application security (AppSec), and data protection principles is required, along with familiarity with modern security technologies and architectures like zero trust, secrets management, and DevSecOps. A solid understanding of data governance, encryption practices, and privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The VP of Product Security will oversee and enhance identity and access management strategies and practices, collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security into the product lifecycle, develop and maintain a product security strategy aligned with business goals, communicate security risks and recommendations to executive leadership, and identify and mitigate security risks throughout the product lifecycle, including threat modeling and vulnerability analysis.
