Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of experience in wireless communications, specifically within Business Development and/or Program Management, or alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED. Strong knowledge of the MANET market landscape and competitive analysis is required, alongside familiarity with USAF programs, organizational structure, funding priorities, and communications modernization initiatives, particularly related to ABMS, JADC2, Agile Combat Employment (ACE), and FMS sales.

Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development, United States Air Force (USAF) will be responsible for defining long-term strategic objectives for the USAF market, developing actionable plans to achieve these objectives, identifying and cultivating strategic alliances, driving the capture of new government and military business opportunities, conducting customer engagements, developing a comprehensive strategy for the USAF, representing Silvus at trade shows and industry events, demonstrating a strong understanding of the MANET market, and providing regular reporting to senior leadership on activities and achievements. The role also requires travel up to 50% of the time to maintain customer engagement and relationships.
