Candidates must have at least 8 years of Enterprise Sales experience in the Federal sector and a proven track record in Software SaaS subscription sales, evidenced by quota overachievement and strong Federal customer references. Strong sales aptitude, fundamental understanding of the sales process, and tech-savvy business acumen are required. The role necessitates excellent verbal and written communication skills, a competitive and driven yet team-player attitude, an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and creativity. Willingness to travel to clients to support sales relationships (25%) is also a requirement. Bonus points for startup experience and domain experience with compute platforms, DevOps tooling, CI/CD platforms, and the overall SDLC.
The Public Sector Account Executive will define and execute account plans for the DOD segment, driving the adoption of Chainguard Images to new customers. They will evangelize the value proposition and ROI to prospects, positioning themselves as a trusted advisor within government programs to effect change. Responsibilities include championing offerings with key stakeholders, collaborating with internal business functions for exceptional customer experience, leveraging community and partner ecosystems for growth, and accurately forecasting to meet and exceed quota. Managing business and tracking opportunities in SFDC and other supporting tools is also a key responsibility.
