Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, along with a minimum of 15 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred, and comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and full-cycle accounting is required. Strong analytical abilities, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard office tools is also needed.
As the Director of Accounting Close and Operations, you will lead critical aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including managing timelines and deliverables to ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. You will oversee core components of the close cycle, such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses. You will manage a team of accounting professionals, establish objectives and assignments, and provide ongoing feedback. You will also guide the team in preparing and presenting financial results, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to senior management. Furthermore, you will lead the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and processes, drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives, review supporting documentation for SEC filings and audits, and support senior management with ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
