Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, specifically issuer side needs, emerging trends, regulatory changes, and operational challenges
  • Comprehensive understanding of Visa's solutions and their application for Issuing clients
  • Ability to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities within the National and Super Regional FI segment, including Sponsor Banks
  • Moderate to extensive travel for client meetings, conferences, and partner events
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Generalist Sellers, Sales Operations, Product, Strategy, Client Services, Digital Partners, and Marketing
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Dynamics for sales activity updates, market trends, and competitive analysis
  • Understanding of clients’ complex challenges/problems and relationships with Global Service Providers
  • Use of Visa technology to drive solutions

Responsibilities

  • Identify high potential Issuing clients to target and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers
  • Ensure high levels of client/prospect satisfaction through proactive outreach, relevant insights, and regular follow-ups
  • Partner with the Generalist Sales team to prepare proposals, presentations, and sales materials highlighting Visa solutions
  • Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to Issuers aligned with Visa’s Purpose
  • Structure, negotiate, and close deals ensuring client needs are met
  • Drive and achieve Issuing Solutions booking and revenue targets (inclusive of Network, Post Purchase, Authentication, Risk, Identity, Data products) through collaboration with Account Executives for net-new customers or upsell
  • Acquire new clients and retain/grow existing clients in partnership with market product teams
  • Champion Visa’s value-based sales methodology, post-sale commercialization, and mutual success planning with clients and across Visa
  • Work collaboratively with teams including Product, Client Services, Finance, and Technology for optimal client experience and product improvement
  • Promote understanding of critical success factors for Issuing solutions revenue objectives
  • Provide input into design and implementation of sales collateral, marketing, and promotional activities to increase awareness of VAS objectives
