Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, along with professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA. A minimum of 13 years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or financial controls, preferably within a public technology company, is required. Experience with integrated audits from a Big 4 or similar firm, including proficiency in AuditBoard, strong project management, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proven experience in refining, optimizing, and automating control environments and leading teams is also necessary.
The Director, Internal Controls & SOX will lead the company's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program, overseeing risk assessments, control design, testing, and remediation for both business processes and IT. This role involves leading a team, partnering with internal stakeholders for change management and control design, and coordinating with external auditors and co-source service providers. Responsibilities include managing deficiency mitigation efforts, identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation, conducting risk assessments, overseeing select internal audit engagements, leading pre-system implementation reviews, and presenting compliance reports to executive leadership and the Audit Committee.
