Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within the AI industry is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in Machine Learning research, software design, and development. Advanced knowledge of AI and Machine Learning techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and self-supervised learning, is essential. Strong expertise in NLP techniques such as language representation models, dialogue systems, information retrieval, and information extraction is necessary. Proficiency in industry-standard Large Language Models and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is required, as well as experience with AWS and Google Cloud computing platforms.

Responsibilities

The Director of Engineering will determine the strategic direction for AI research and product development and lead customer engagement initiatives. They will work with the executive team to prioritize investments and oversee all AI research operations involving NLP. The role includes defining a technical roadmap for AI product development, analyzing competitive landscapes, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure market alignment. Responsibilities also include managing AI product development schedules, representing the organization at conferences, providing leadership to the development team, and overseeing recruitment and training.
