Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years in data science or ML engineering roles, including 5+ years managing senior data scientists or technical leads. A Master's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field like statistics, econometrics, or machine learning is required, along with a strong foundation in causal inference, time series analysis, Bayesian modeling, and experimental design. Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, experience with modern data platforms, MLOps practices, and pipeline orchestration tools are essential. Bonus skills include experience with identity graphs, attribution modeling, experiment design in marketing/advertising, customer acquisition funnels, enterprise sales cycles, and working in MarTech/AdTech or B2B SaaS.

Responsibilities

The Director of Data Science will lead the team responsible for building the intelligence layer for marketing measurement and data-driven products. This role involves owning the execution of the technical roadmap for data science models and scalable data products, leading cross-functional projects from scoping to launch, and partnering with Engineering and Product to align milestones and ensure execution velocity. Responsibilities also include hiring, mentoring, and developing top talent, translating customer pain points into technical requirements and DS solution designs, recommending and translating statistical outputs into customer-facing features, and establishing repeatable validation processes for model release.
