Responsibilities

  • Design and execute strategic projects, formulate strategic recommendations, and influence stakeholders inside and outside the organization for buy-in
  • Work with corporate strategy leads and senior management to define and set goals through the annual strategic planning process
  • Develop actionable recommendations that support the business strategy and goals
  • Lead project-specific cross-functional teams to deliver excellent strategy output
  • Develop business and operational action plans and collaborate with peers, senior management, and stakeholders to drive implementation
  • Participate in articulating the S&P Global strategy in a clear and compelling narrative to key stakeholders, tailoring messages to executive audiences
  • Participate in preparing communications of S&P Global strategy and updates to the board of directors and investor community, occasionally leading presentations
  • Work with the M&A team and Chief Client Office to profile target companies for acquisitions, joint ventures, and alliance partnerships
  • Leverage scenario planning, case studies, and modeling to strengthen the strategy
  • Analyze businesses and opportunities to assist in executing strategic decisions
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
  • Identify changes in market conditions, industry trends, regulatory environment, regional or country macro-economic factors, and technology impacts requiring strategic plan adjustments
  • Serve as a role model, educator, coach, and mentor across the organization, advocating for an enterprise mindset
