Requirements

  • Solid computer science foundation
  • Effective combination of interpersonal and technical skills
  • Passion for learning and expanding into other technologies
  • Experience working in integration projects with familiarity in various industry standard integration patterns and a platform mindset
  • 6+ years’ experience engineering/developing web enabled applications
  • Proven track record as a solution architect, architecting, designing, and building new solutions with very strong analysis skills OR prior experience as a business architect with deep experience in business architecture practices
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with Micro-Service Architecture & SOA
  • Experience in all aspects of AWS cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms and data)
  • Working knowledge in all aspects of solution architecture (infrastructure/network topology, application architecture operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization)
  • Working knowledge of an architecture framework (e.g., TOGAF)
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages
  • Well versed in Java, .net, JavaScript, Angular, Typescript
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration/deployment
  • Experience with event-driven, serverless architecture, design, and implementation
  • Heightened awareness, experience or passion for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Experience with agile development, DevOps, Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery
  • Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members
  • Contribution to the open-source community would be beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Support business architecture initiatives of multiple product areas within Fidelity Wealth and Fidelity Brokerage
  • Work with business and technology leadership to build capability maps, define target architectures, and architecture roadmaps
  • Help deliver the technical products that enable and support business capabilities
  • Develop and support architecture processes throughout the organization
  • Work closely with business leadership, product owners, architects, and engineers in an agile environment to help them understand architecture processes, follow required standards, and engage in best practices
  • Champion innovation, drive standardization, and deliver modern technology patterns across the stack for customers' use as a member of the architecture team
  • Contribute to the product roadmap evolution in conjunction with business unit product goals
  • Provide leadership in computing services, adoption of platforms, and consolidation across team initiatives
  • Coordinate closely with product owners and colleagues across the enterprise to stay aligned on business and technology goals and ensure squads progress and deliver against them
  • Occasionally represent the voice of the customer to ensure squad members understand their needs and preferences
