Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing operations, business administration, operations management, purchasing, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in procurement or a related field
  • High level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and German

Responsibilities

  • Complete operational procurement management with a focus on economically and efficiently handling procurement processes for defined product groups
  • Ensure the availability of materials by actively participating at the interface to scheduling, suppliers, and strategic purchasing
  • Build orders for direct material in accordance with established frameworks and agreements
  • Monitor and track orders for all materials within assigned material groups, addressing any blocking issues as necessary
  • Conduct invoice checking and processing, ensuring alignment with specifications and guidelines
  • Develop and maintain framework agreements and manage additions for new parts
  • Handle consignment, VOMI processing, and suggest article inclusions and contract changes
  • Manage initial sample processing from EPD, including orders, approvals, and special deliveries
  • Participate actively in supplier appointments and visits to ensure flawless operations
  • Control the EPD process, including supplier inquiries and goods management
  • Track missing parts and participate in relevant meetings to address shortages
  • Maintain vendor master data and update orders as needed in consultation with relevant departments
  • Collaborate on reporting and maintain standard pricing
  • Process and coordinate discontinued parts with suppliers and other departments
  • Serve as an interface to all departments, including production, quality control, development, and accounting
