Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related degree, and 2 years of professional experience, or at least 4 years of relevant professional experience without a degree
  • Experience with programming in at least one of the languages we use (Python, Typescript, C, C++, Matlab, Bash or other Unix shells, Powershell)
  • Proven experience implementing DevOps practices: automating build, test, and deployment workflows, improving developer velocity, and building reliable, scalable delivery pipelines
  • Expertise in Git including modern branching strategies and workflow design
  • Proficiency in containerization and cloud infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain shared CI/CD infrastructure, reusable pipeline components, and best practices that enable software engineers to build, own, and evolve their own pipelines with minimal friction
  • Provide standardized environments that allow our software engineers to hit the ground running
  • Set up package registries and packaging workflows for sharing libraries between teams internally
  • Write scripts to automate development workflow processes, integrating between different systems
  • Mentor new users on project setup, best practices, Git and CI workflows, etc
  • Create and manage standardized toolchains and development environments, including Docker images, to ensure consistency, security, and efficiency across engineering teams
  • Implement AI-assisted development tools and workflows to enhance feedback loops during coding
  • Provide technical guidance and support for standardizing development practices
  • Manage and optimize development environment configurations and tooling
