Requirements

  • BA/BFA/MA/MFA/Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience in Graphic Design in an agency or in-house setting
  • Strong passion for research and gathering cultural and market insights
  • Strong ability to create seasonal graphic and print designs rooted in local culture and global trends
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional partners
  • Proven ability to create concepts, iterate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary product and creative team
  • Understanding and ability to concept based on a holistic head-to-toe design expression inclusive of footwear and apparel
  • Awareness of the Nike brand, its design ethos, and its cultural relevance
  • Connection to contemporary art & design, sport and streetwear trends
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Creates graphics that are industry leading, trend right and that consistently incorporate consumer/athlete insights through powerful storytelling, emotional connectivity and relevance
  • Produces presentation materials in conjunction with design and category teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences
  • Proficient ability to apply graphic design skills, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, use of texture, spacing, and scale, visual presentation development and layout that is supported by a portfolio of non-computer-based creative art and graphic design
  • Uses advanced design skills to create original graphics that appropriately reflect Nike brand design ethos
  • Computer literate using Mac platforms with a high digital design acumen in design-based software (Creative Suite)
  • Experience with 3D and AI Design tools is not required, but is a plus
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Footwear Color and Materials Designers, Apparel Graphics Designers, and Developers to bring seasonal creative direction to life through Graphic Design
  • Create original graphics, patterns, and prints that reflect the GC Express Lane’s commitment to speed, style, and cultural relevance
  • Conduct consumer and trend research with a focus on local market insights
  • Build mood boards and seasonal concept presentations
  • Perform sketching and graphic exploration
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure design intent is executed with precision
  • Communicate directly with development and manufacturing partners to ensure graphic accuracy and quality
  • Work with GC geography experts in insights, marketing, product, development and design
  • Collaborate with functional experts and leadership in Color, Material, Graphic and Footwear and Apparel Product Design across various parts of the business
  • Craft compelling Graphic narratives that elevate the consumer experience and connect deeply with Athletes in Greater China
  • Manage the process from concept development to final tech packs
