Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Design, Graphic Design, or Industrial Design, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a design-related occupation. Required skills include proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Keynote, and collaborative tools like Miro. Experience with on-product graphics for both hard and soft goods, color theory and palette building (physical and digital), trend assessment and analysis, photo manipulation and image separation, sketching, drawing, concepting, and physical-to-digital conversion is also necessary. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from SD, VT, and WV.
The Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams in innovation, design, development, and merchandising to ensure design feasibility, meet price points, and adhere to product creation timelines. Responsibilities include developing storytelling and narratives for footwear concepts, creating compelling graphic designs, and collaborating with material and color designers for cohesive narratives. The role involves communicating design concepts with a focus on sustainability, presenting concepts to the North American Express Lane team, and preparing presentation materials for internal and external audiences. Additionally, the Designer will research and travel to build awareness of current trends, color, technology, and sports products, manipulate product photos digitally, and provide design support to senior designers while acting as a communication partner between design and innovation for material development and commercialization.
