Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical support, customer success, or similar customer-facing technical roles
  • Experience handling enterprise customers and acting as a trusted technical advisor
  • High communication and documentation skills in Japanese, tailored to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
  • Basic oral communication skills in English, with intermediate or higher reading/writing skills
  • Experience with data warehousing, database migration, ETL
  • Basic RDBMS knowledge (SQL, data types, aggregation, execution plans, workload management, DB performance management)
  • Knowledge of major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) in infrastructure, networking, performance metrics
  • Troubleshooting experience with drivers, connectors, client software for DB connections and cloud data migration
  • Ability to collaborate with global teams, understanding enterprise sales cycles and support processes

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for service delivery to assigned Priority Support customers, collaborating with support and account teams
  • Facilitate smooth handling of customer cases, incidents, and escalations, ensuring full understanding of customer situations and needs
  • Analyze issues and propose improvements in: query performance optimization in production, recurrence prevention, efficiency enhancements; warehouse configuration and usage analysis for cost and performance optimization; best practices for user/account settings (security, governance, health)
  • Analyze complex production issues/trends, provide root cause analysis (RCA), and targeted case resolutions
  • Conduct regular reviews with customers, providing analysis and improvement recommendations on system performance and health
  • Convey customer requests internally, adjust response priorities appropriately
  • Lead resolution of complex technical issues by collaborating with support, engineering, and cloud operations teams
  • Deeply understand and stay updated on assigned customers' system configurations, usage, and key success factors ("Know Your Customer")
  • Comply with SLA/escalation processes to ensure business continuity
  • Analyze patterns to drive global quality improvements and enhanced Customer Experience
  • Conduct training and knowledge sharing internally and externally to promote understanding of Snowflake and data warehousing
