Requirements

Candidates should possess a formal apprenticeship or technical degree in a relevant field, with a preference for completion of 2+ years of experience with precision power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, sanders, and routers. Demonstrated proficiency in construction standards, including advanced techniques and industry terminology, along with knowledge of mockups, exhibits, and display construction, is required, as well as the ability to interpret rough sketches or detailed engineering drawings and descriptions. Experience with CAD models, technical drawings, and sketches, and translating verbal instructions into actionable tasks is also necessary, alongside proficiency in construction mathematics and measurement systems, including hands-on experience with precision tools like calipers.

Responsibilities

The Technical Build Specialist will manage projects and tasks independently from start to finish, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills, and adapting to evolving priorities by taking on additional responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the team’s overall success. They will seek guidance from tenured team members for appropriate approaches and strategies, contribute to Teague’s safety culture by adhering to protocols and reporting hazards, operate manual machinery with precision, promote a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate with designers, engineers, and clients to troubleshoot, refine, and execute builds that push boundaries.
