Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, at minimum a National degree
8 or more years of experience
Experience with ISO14001/ISO45001 or other accredited standards
Experience with ISO50001 and Internal/Lead Auditor in Energy Management or ISO 14064
In-depth knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Computer literate – MS Office and CMMS software
Good communication skills

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of maintenance and repair personnel
Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
Manage budgets and control maintenance costs
Monitor the efficiency and lifespan of equipment
Maintain buildings (external building, conference rooms, cabins, work areas, cubicles etc.), grounds, and gardens
Assess the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, and other essential facilities
Ensure maintenance of all HVAC systems and electrical systems
Maintain all safety equipment and support safety audits to ensure a safe working environment
Maintain all utilities, communications infrastructure, space management, and waste treatment systems
Conduct energy audits and prepare energy conservation reports
Develop and manage energy conservation programs
Analyze energy usage data to identify opportunities for improvement
Coordinate with facility team to implement energy-efficient technologies
Monitor utility bills and verify energy savings
Maintain accurate records of the condition of equipment and other systems in the building
Ensure mandatory & government regulatory requirements are in place & current
Ensure energy calculation for all facility areas
Procure facility-related items and manage vendor contracts
Create a schedule of regular evaluation of the facilities
Develop a system for cleaning, repair, and maintenance of facilities
Ensure the safety of the building or establishment from fire, flood, and other hazards
Build and maintain profitable and long-term relationships with vendors
Report on environment, health, and safety related issues on available communication mediums
Ensure safety audits completion on time and vigilance to safety at workplace
Lead GSSF element by implementing GSSF procedures and ensure sustainability of assigned elements
Safety incident investigation & closing responsibility with 8D
