Requirements

Candidates must have experience deploying Kubernetes clusters on cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, as well as on-premise infrastructure. Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Crossplane, Terraform, and Helm is required, along with a solid understanding of networking, security, and observability in containerized environments. Proven experience working directly with external customers or clients is essential, as are excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong problem-solving abilities, a customer-first mindset, comfort presenting to technical and business stakeholders, and self-motivation with strong project management and organizational skills are also necessary. Experience in customer-led roles, customer success, professional services, or solutions engineering is a plus, as is experience in regulated industries or high-security environments.

Responsibilities

The Deployment Lead will partner directly with customers to assess their infrastructure requirements, security constraints, and deployment preferences, acting as the primary technical point of contact throughout the deployment lifecycle. They will build and maintain strong relationships with customer technical teams and stakeholders, gather customer feedback and requirements to inform platform development priorities, and design and execute deployment strategies for customer-owned cloud and on-premise infrastructure. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting complex deployment issues across diverse infrastructure environments, acting as a system validator to ensure the platform works within customer infrastructure, and continuously applying and improving deployment best practices and standards while coaching colleagues.
