Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years of warehouse management experience in a high volume, automated distribution environment
  • Ability to lead by example, mentor, develop, and foster a team environment
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate proper technical, equipment, and systems processes
  • Ability to work any shift (specifically 3rd Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, arriving 1 hour early and staying 1 hour late)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee up to 20 warehouse associates, ensuring they work proficiently and safely in various departments
  • Oversee shipping operations, coordinating daily shipping and distribution activities to ensure timely product shipment and delivery
  • Hire, train, and supervise shipping department employees, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated
  • Coordinate logistics, collaborating with departments to optimize shipping processes, manage shipping documents, and track orders using logistics software
  • Manage the shipping department’s budget, negotiate transportation costs with carriers, and ensure operations remain within budget
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipping-related issues and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Lead team to meet operational goals within assigned department and shift in a fast-paced 24/7/365 operation
