Graduation from high school preferred, but not required
Maintain current CPR certification
Must provide evidence of being free of infectious and contagious disease (e.g., TB) prior to employment and annually thereafter
Successful completion of background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check
Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment
Completion of all training requirements, including Relias, at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter
Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
No required license/certification
Previous experience desired, but not required
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: ability and willingness to learn; ability to establish and maintain effective communication with patients and coworkers; desire to expand abilities; ability to follow (incomplete in description)

Responsibilities

Assist dentists and hygienists in chairside procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care
Prepare and set up instruments, materials, and equipment for dental procedures
Order and maintain supplies and inventory
Accurately record information on patient records, maintaining comprehensive and organized documentation
Attend to the needs of patients with patience, care, compassion, and understanding
Sterilize instruments and clean and maintain equipment and work areas
Help identify related medical and/or social problems and order supplies and materials
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of inventory
Perform tasks in compliance with standards from the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Board, and National Network of Oral Health Access
Perform other duties as assigned
