Requirements

  • 10 years of oilfield chemical experience, preferably focused on Deepwater applications
  • 5 years of laboratory testing experience outside of an academic setting
  • Field experience or time dedicated to operations support is highly desired
  • Strong knowledge about production chemicals
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
  • Excellent communication skills for both internal and external presentations, reporting and discussions
  • Great interpersonal skills, ability to work with a wide range of individuals in a variety of positions across a global organization
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Ability to problem solve, work independently and be self-motivated
  • Desire to cross train and work as part of a multidiscipline team

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a focal point of internal and external customer requests related to Deepwater business
  • Manage and communicate Deepwater project status to internal and/or external customers
  • Plan and perform laboratory testing to support operation requests and report results to internal and/or external customers within a timely manner
  • Follow SOPs and testing protocols
  • Assess results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications; problem solve within a laboratory or field environment
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE and quality requirements
  • Perform field support as and when required to meet the needs of the business; this may include travel to off-site field locations across the globe
  • Compliance with all training and competency programs
  • Administrative tasks such as ordering of laboratory consumables, electronic record keeping and data reporting systems
