Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Ideally a qualified accountant (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) — but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience in finance business partnering, decision support, or commercial finance
  • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis within a commercial setting
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, SQL, or ERP systems advantageous
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • High attention to detail, balanced with a strategic understanding of business drivers

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to commercial and operational teams, providing insights that drive decision-making and performance
  • Lead and support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
  • Deliver insightful monthly performance analysis, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Provide scenario modelling, pricing analysis, and investment appraisals to support commercial decisions
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management clearly and effectively
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and decision support tools to improve visibility and control
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial planning and reporting
  • Collaborate with Group Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business and financial objectives
  • Support and mentor junior team members, encouraging growth, development, and continuous learning
