  • Pass certification at the conclusion of the program to demonstrate skills for the Retail Personal Banker job family
  • Knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services
  • Ability to use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment
  • Willingness to engage in telephone and in-person relationship development, lobby leadership/aisle time, tele-consulting, and outside business development
  • Accountability for risk management, following policies/procedures, and driving positive customer experiences

Responsibilities

  • Create great customer experiences and grow a new De Novo branch from the ground up, starting with zero customers
  • Develop new relationships over the telephone or in person through consultative conversations and asking for referrals
  • Engage in outside business development alongside the Financial Center Manager
  • Sell a full range of banking products and services (deposits, loans, fee-based services) to meet customer needs
  • Proactively identify and meet financial needs of customers/prospects using consultative sales process
  • Acquire new households and deepen existing relationships via lobby leadership, aisle time, or tele-consulting
  • Process teller transactions and work as a member of platform staff
  • Build thorough customer profiles to identify current/future financial needs
  • Recommend appropriate solutions using the bank's value proposition
  • Utilize CAMP and approved marketing tools to reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews
  • Focus on cross-selling to existing customers and outside sales activities (e.g., Membership Advantage presentations, business sales calls, community events)
