Staff Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related engineering field, along with experience operating large-scale, business-critical Linux environments. They should have experience with configuration management tools like Chef, scripting in Python and bash, and a proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams. Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, GCP, and OCI is also required, along with knowledge of databases including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
The Database Reliability Engineer III will maintain a deep understanding of data components and use that knowledge to operate and automate properly configured clusters. They will develop infrastructure services to support the CrowdStrike engineering team’s pursuit of a full DevOps model, troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, and keep petabytes of critical business data safe, secure, and available. Furthermore, they will work closely with Engineering and Customer Support to ensure the stability and performance of the database systems and manage container images within Kubernetes environments.
