Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in production environments, with expertise in SQL optimization, indexing, partitioning, clustering architectures, and replication, particularly with MySQL. Strong proficiency in AWS database services such as Aurora RDS and DynamoDB, as well as experience with MongoDB and Apache Cassandra in distributed, high-volume setups, is required. Solid knowledge of Atmos and Git for versioning and infrastructure automation is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Database Administrator will manage the health, performance, and scalability of production databases across multiple environments. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining monitoring dashboards and alerts using tools like DataDog, Grafana, and Cloudwatch. The role involves designing and implementing automation scripts and AI-driven tools for routine operational tasks such as backups, failover, patching, and monitoring, while ensuring database security, high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance best practices. This position also requires collaboration with developers and DevOps to support CI/CD and self-service provisioning workflows, and providing deep expertise in AWS-native databases and NoSQL technologies like MongoDB and Cassandra.
