Requirements

Candidates should have a strong understanding of statistical models, machine learning principles, and experience with data mining projects. Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with basic data structures and algorithms are required. Preferred qualifications include experience with machine learning, deep learning, and recommendation algorithms, NLP experience, causal inference or optimization algorithms, big data experience with distributed computation frameworks like Hadoop or Spark, and strong logical thinking and communication skills, preferably with game industry familiarity. Research experience and academic publications are also preferred.

Responsibilities

The Data Scientist Intern will research state-of-the-art machine learning, deep learning, social-network data mining, and recommendation algorithms using game data. They will design, evaluate, and improve core algorithms and strategies for online AI serving, conduct in-depth statistical analysis of large-scale data to mine user behavior and attributes, and build user portraits. Responsibilities also include performing sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and summarization on user comments, identifying user pain points through data to propose retention strategies, and improving data analysis pipelines using distributed computation platforms to develop efficient data mining solutions. Additionally, the intern will research AI agents for upgrading existing working pipelines.
