Requirements

Candidates must have 7+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist with a strong background in mathematics and computer science. Demonstrated experience with machine learning and GenAI principles, technologies, and algorithms is required, along with experience in planning and managing data analytic initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders. A university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline is necessary. High proficiency in Spanish and English, along with strong Python programming skills, is essential. Experience with machine learning, deep learning, GenAI, database handling, and visualization tools is also required. The ability to translate complex technical language into clear business strategy, work constructively with others, and deliver results effectively and with attention to detail is crucial. Knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking Business is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Data Scientist Expert will design, construct, and pilot advanced analytics, Machine Learning, and GenAI scalable solutions for Santander Corporate & Investment Banking. This includes continuously improving data analysis through machine learning models, advanced analytic techniques, and data-source leveraging. Responsibilities involve developing tools and services from POCs to industrialized features, engaging in fundamental research for novel solutions, and maintaining a deep understanding of the business marketplace dynamics. The role also entails defining business cases with stakeholders to quantify solution benefits, costs, and impact, presenting results clearly, and staying updated on the latest data science and artificial intelligence trends. Additionally, the expert will mentor junior data scientists and animate workshops to enhance data science capabilities within the business. Occasional travel may be required.
