Requirements

Candidates should have 3-5+ years of experience in data science, ML, or applied statistics within a B2B SaaS environment, with experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, or Marketing teams to ship user-facing AI features or data products. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries like scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow are required, along with demonstrated ability to design, train, and validate models using structured and unstructured data, and strong analytical skills with experience in large datasets using SQL, Pandas, and other data tools. Experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector search tools, agentic AI workflows, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, building evaluation pipelines for ML/AI models, and familiarity with tools like Jupyter, Looker, GitHub, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) are considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Data Scientist will analyze data, build models, and prototype innovative AI features, partnering closely with Product, R&D, and GTM teams to scope problems, explore data, and deliver ML-powered solutions. This includes designing and implementing AI-powered product features with Engineering, evaluating LLM and generative AI features using quantitative and qualitative techniques, and developing benchmarks and evaluation pipelines. The role involves staying updated on ML, deep learning, NLP, and agentic workflows, contributing to knowledge sharing, collaborating with stakeholders to frame analytical problems and define success metrics, translating business challenges into data science projects, conducting exploratory data analysis, and working with data engineering teams to source and validate data for model development.
