Requirements

The Data Scientist position requires a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree with commensurate experience, regular SQL use for querying data, experience programming with at least one language, proficiency in statistical software such as R or Python, experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, and familiarity with Excel. Candidates should also have 3-5 years of experience in Database Marketing and Data Mining, with a preference for experience in the financial or insurance industry.

Responsibilities

This role involves building, implementing, and maintaining predictive models throughout their lifecycle, identifying patterns and trends in data to provide insights for business decision-making, taking ownership of solution challenges and opportunities from client strategy discussions, setting up and monitoring monthly model recalibration processes, generating complex ad-hoc analyses, designing and creating new analytic procedures and automation, reviewing corporate model and data transformation QC, and reviewing corporate model scoring QC.
