Requirements

Able and willing to work from our Redwood City, CA. office
Must be able to work full-time (40-hours per week) for 12-weeks during the summer of 2026 (May - September)
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD program in a technical or quantitative discipline
Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree must be graduating and obtaining the degree by June of 2027

Responsibilities

Work on and improve various components of our ad-tech stack including ranking, retrieval, auction/bidding and budget pacing
Conduct deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies: analyze a large dataset with queries and scripts, extract valuable signals out of noise, and produce actionable insights into how we could optimize Moloco’s complex bidding system
Design and deploy advanced optimization approaches to improve our ad-delivery: identifying the best ranking, retrieval and bidding strategies that strike the right balance between ROI and revenue trade-offs
Validate and quantify the efficiency and performance gain from hypotheses through rigorous simulation and modeling
Develop a robust experiment design and metric framework, and provide reliable and unbiased insights for product and business decision making
Stay up-to-date with the latest researches and developments in experimentation and causal inference, and identify opportunities of applying these techniques to business challenges
