Requirements

  • Proficiency in SFTP connectivity and file transfer tools (e.g., WS_FTP, MoveIt, FTPGetter, FileZilla)
  • Strong understanding of data encryption and key management (PGP/GPG, SSH)
  • Practical experience with SQL Server (T-SQL) for investigating and resolving data issues
  • Familiarity with SSIS or similar ETL processes for data movement and transformation
  • Understanding of Windows Server environments and basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python or similar batch scripting)
  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure
  • Background in financial services, compliance, or other data-intensive operations
  • Experience supporting or managing production data workflows or file-based integrations
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 2–3 years in a technical or operational data role such as Data Engineering, Application Support, or Data Operations, ideally within a SaaS or financial technology environment

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage secure SFTP accounts and access permissions
  • Partner with clients and brokers to establish, test, and deploy new data feeds
  • Implement and maintain encryption standards (PGP/GPG, SSH key pairs)
  • Develop and maintain automated batch processes to streamline data movement
  • Apply and validate new file import packages and releases in production environments
  • Monitor daily and intraday data feed activity, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Maintain and optimise the MoveIt platform for secure file automation and transfers
  • Provide second-line support for feed-related incidents, escalating where appropriate
  • Categorise, report, and track incidents by severity, impact, and priority
  • Conduct test transmissions and validate file imports to ensure feed integrity and accuracy
  • Work closely with Development teams to resolve technical issues and share knowledge
  • Contribute to process optimisation, tooling improvements, and automation initiatives
  • Support internal documentation and the sharing of best practices across the team
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence and proactive issue prevention
