Job Description

Summary

The Financial Accounting Squad is responsible for processing events from our platform and custom them in processing reports, using cutting-edge technologies to deliver a high-scalable, secure, cost-effective and resilient financial services to the clients.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and maintain scalable and automated data pipelines
  • Support analytics and machine learning workflows across different teams
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Ensure data quality, security, and governance throughout our systems
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to model data for business intelligence and strategic insights
  • Orchestrate data pipelines using tools like Airflow

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location, be based in Brazil. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English at B1 level (Intermediate)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced SQL skills for manipulating and analyzing large-scale datasets
    • Proficiency in Python focused on automation, data analysis, and API integrations
    • Strong experience with Databricks, including notebooks, Delta Lake, and integrations
    • Solid knowledge of AWS services:
      • Glue (serverless ETL)
      • Athena (serverless SQL queries)
      • S3 (data storage)
      • Lambda (serverless function execution)
    • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
    • Proficient in Git for version control and team collaboration
    • Strong understanding of BI and data modeling for visualization and strategic analysis
    • Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
    • Background working with high-volume data and performance-focused environments
    • Familiarity with modern data architecture (e.g., Data Lakehouse, medallion architecture)

Nice to have

  • Experience with Machine Learning and AI tools such as:
    • AWS Bedrock (generative and foundational models)
    • AWS SageMaker (ML model creation, training, and deployment)
  • Knowledge of DataOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
