Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering team within the Data Science organization. This team is responsible for developing the pipelines, infrastructure, and automation necessary for Data Scientists to train and evaluate models, enabling effortless data analysis and action for users. The role is critical in ensuring CrowdStrike's products remain industry-leading. You will collaborate with product managers, Data Scientists, and other engineers to build both internal and external-facing services.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build services that power industry-leading machine learning products as part of a collaborative team.
  • Develop automation tools for scientists to deploy models.
  • Maintain and improve production data systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and pull requests with peers.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams responsible for various aspects of machine learning data at CrowdStrike.

What You'll Need

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of the following technologies: AWS, Python, Golang, Kafka, Airflow, K8, etc., for building pipelines.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data (CrowdStrike ingests and analyzes over 1 trillion events per day).
  • Good understanding of distributed system design and its associated trade-offs.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD practices and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes for development and orchestration.

Bonus Points

  • Experience creating automated/scalable infrastructure and pipelines for teams.
  • Contributions to the open-source community (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
  • Prior experience with Spinnaker, Relational Databases, or KV Stores.
  • Prior experience with the Big Data ecosystem, such as Spark.
  • Prior experience with services like AWS Batch, EMR, Glue, and SageMaker.
  • Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
