Position Overview

This role will be part of the Finance team and will be collaborating closely with other data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers. The Finance team works cross-functionally with business stakeholders and Big Data teams. The primary focus will be on extracting insights, building data pipelines, and developing statistical models to improve product sales performance, fraud detection, currency expansion, or payment reconciliation. This role will work closely with the Revenue, Finance, FP&A, and Tax teams, defining, measuring, and tracking success metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Zoom’s products.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining world-class enterprise-grade ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Transforming raw data into scalable, performant data models that would be consumed by data analysts and data scientists.
• Designing, building, and updating foundational analytics data models that simplify analyses across the products.
• Implementing best practices to ensure high-quality, robust data, including but not limited to:
  • Data monitoring and alerting.
  • Data Quality (DQ) frameworks.
  • Regression methodologies.
• Developing, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting production-level Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) with orchestration software, preferably Airflow.
• Developing automated solutions to reduce manual effort wherever possible.
• Reviewing and documenting code changes and orchestrating deployments.
• Understanding and following change management and release management processes.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Experience with data principles, system, and data architecture. Finance data experience is an advantage.
• Experience with software engineering principles such as:
  • Data structures and algorithms.
  • CI/CD methodologies.
  • Programming language proficiency (Java/Python/C++).
  • Git.
  • AWS.
• Experience with distributed data stores (e.g., S3, Hive, Trino, or Spark).
• Experience with transactional Python and analytical Python.
• Experience with SQL, including dimensional modeling and data model design.
• Experience developing orchestration/scheduling jobs (Airflow is an advantage).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS is an advantage) and Spark.

Salary and Compensation

• Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $228,700.00
• In addition to the base salary and/or On-Target Earnings (OTE) listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration: base salary, bonus, and equity value.
• Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
• Location-Based Compensation: There may be a different salary range for candidates in this and other locations.
