Requirements

5-8 years of experience in a Data Engineer/ETL Developer role
Experience with the Microsoft Azure environment
Proficiency with SQL
Competence in Python/PySpark or Spark & Python
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
Understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Engineering concepts, such as data integration, ETL/ELT processes, Star Schema/Snowflake, Kimball modeling, Data Vault 2.0
Skills and experience in performance tuning
Genuine passion for design and implementation of Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and AI solutions to solve business challenges
Strong ability and eagerness to learn rapidly and apply new knowledge effectively
Meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Responsibilities

Join the Data Foundation team based in Warsaw, Poland
Collaborate closely with Data Analysts from Denmark (Copenhagen, Aalborg) and various other Data Teams working for specific business areas
Engage in various engineering initiatives within the three business areas: Banking, Property Finance, and Group Functions, impacting hundreds of data solutions
Execute the data platform migration program, gradually moving solutions from the legacy on-premises Oracle & Informatica platform to the new cloud data platform based on Azure (target state: Databricks on Azure)
