Requirements

  • 3 years of experience working with open source databases
  • 3 years of experience working with ETL and related data pipeline technologies
  • Proficient in GitLab and automating GL pipelines
  • Previous work with SQL and Python
  • Java and Scala experience is a plus
  • Demonstrable experience with cloud-based ETL tools, Spark on K8s or Databricks
  • Ability to manage data platform with Terraform
  • Experience with distributed data stores, with demonstrable experience using data lakes and with optimizing query performance
  • Solid understanding of data structures and schema design
  • Prior work with AWS or GCP ecosystems (GCP preferred)
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication (both oral and written) skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, resourceful
  • Enjoy working in fast-paced, collaborative, Agile environments
  • The ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Local to the posting location (hybrid work environment)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new features for core systems leveraging our central data lake house
  • Automate critical data workflows and manual tasks to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Platform Engineering to support deployment processes and address infrastructure requirements
  • Work closely with cross-functional technology teams to identify, understand, and fulfill infrastructure and data-related needs
