Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and over 5 years of experience in data engineering or data platform development. Required skills include proficiency with ETL/ELT tools like Apache Spark and Apache Airflow, strong SQL experience with relational databases, familiarity with data warehousing concepts, proficiency in Python or another scripting language, and experience with cloud-based data environments, preferably AWS. Knowledge of compliance and security requirements in healthcare or federal environments such as HIPAA, NIST, and RMF is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, and certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a federal background investigation or security clearance.
The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines to enable effective data utilization. This includes developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, building and optimizing data models and storage solutions, and ensuring compliance with federal security and data governance frameworks.
