Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, specifically in data center construction and large-scale cabling technologies, is required. Experience managing large-scale projects with Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contracts is necessary. Preferred qualifications include CAPM or PMP certification, BICSI RCDD and RTPM certifications, and OSHA 30 certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio) and in-depth knowledge of safety protocols, structured cabling, and industry standards are essential. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are also required, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The Data Center Project Manager will review contract details, assess project scope, and build customer relationships before project initiation. During implementation, they will manage schedules, costs, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications. This role involves overseeing subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure streamlined project activities. Responsibilities also include ensuring timely project closeout and facilitating customer sign-offs, supporting Lean initiatives, driving innovation, and acting as a customer liaison by representing E2 Optics in client meetings to ensure customer satisfaction and ongoing communication.
