Broad business skill set including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and resilience
Experience gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for non-technical audiences
Willingness to travel for project-related work
Proven experience as a Data Architect with 10+ years in data architecture, database management, and data modelling
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks, particularly Agile
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, CosmosDB, Snowflake, Databricks)
Hands-on experience with data modelling tools, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration techniques
Experience with at least one cloud data platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
Knowledge of data workflow solutions (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow)
Knowledge of stream and batch processing solutions (e.g., Apache Flink, Apache Kafka)
Knowledge of log management, monitoring, and analytics solutions (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Stack, New Relic)
Extensive experience designing and implementing data architectures
Strong understanding of database management, data modelling, and data governance
Strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust, scalable, secure, optimized data solutions supporting business requirements and strategic goals
Evaluate client’s existing data estate, diagnose underlying issues, and propose solutions
Collaborate with clients to understand data needs and provide expert advice on data management and architecture
Develop data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries
Oversee ingestion and integration of data from multiple sources into enterprise data platforms
Conduct data quality assessments and implement data governance processes and best practices
Stay updated with latest trends and technologies in data architecture and management
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and team members
Identify and mitigate data-related risks throughout the project lifecycle
