Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in data architecture and a Bachelor's degree in a STEM program. Strong knowledge of database structure systems, data mining, SQL, NoSQL, Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), cloud services (AWS, Azure), data modeling, design tools, and database design is required. Experience with Teradata and Snowflake technology is also necessary, along with familiarity with UML, XML, and enterprise architecture frameworks. Target certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Developer Associate, SnowPro Advanced Architect, and Databricks Apache Spark Developer.
The Data Architect will design the overall data architecture, including databases and large-scale processing systems, and define how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed. Responsibilities include creating database solutions, overseeing data storage and maintenance, developing scalable data architectures, implementing data privacy policies, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. The role involves working with system designers and developers to implement data strategies, collaborating with business executives to align data architecture with business requirements, ensuring efficient data flow through pipelines, and implementing/maintaining data management tools. Additionally, the Data Architect will optimize data retrieval, develop dashboards and reports, perform database maintenance, and assist data scientists with data infrastructure needs.
