Data Analyst II

Position Overview

We are looking for a Data Analyst II to join our growing team of analytics experts. The hire will be responsible for statistical modeling, and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations of trends and patterns. The Data Analyst identifies and captures data from internal and external sources and ensures consistency throughout ongoing projects.

Scope:

  • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create data visualizations.
  • Troubleshoot and test database technical issues with the development team.
  • Create monthly Excel and Google Sheets files from the database.
  • Independently analyze data sets to identify opportunities for increased accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform quality assurance on data to determine potential data gaps.
  • Handle data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, from a four-college or university.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Spreadsheet Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Google Sheets / Excel, their formulas, and the ability to manipulate data in these tools (e.g., formulas, functions, pivot tables, lookup and reference formulas like VLOOKUP, statistical formulas like COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, macros, conditional formatting, importing data, creating graphs/charts).
  • SQL Experience: Strong knowledge and experience working with SQL; and experience building Dashboards.
  • Google Workspace: Experience working with the broader Google Workspace Tools (e.g., Slides, Docs).
  • Data Modeling & Mining: Experience with Data Modelling and Mining.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to independently analyze large amounts of data, including the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends, gaps, and patterns in complex data sets. Advanced Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
  • Business Acumen: Sound business judgment and the ability to influence effectively by presenting data in a compelling way.
  • Work Environment: Able to work independently or as part of a team and in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have's)

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning / Logistics / Procurement / Operations or a related field.
  • Experience using Google PLX Dashboards.
  • Experience / knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
